Artist Discovered!

I recently discovered an artist by the name of Nene Thomas. I thought I was in love with Amy Brown, Rob Carlos or Jessica Galbreth, but when I stumbled across Nene Thomas while looking for some fantasy window stickers, I simply couldn't believe the beauty!

I immediately fell in love with her work. And when I looked at her biography and saw that she loves The Sims just like me? .

I can't deicde which one I like best. I really enjoy the following works. (each link opens a new window):

Always
Blue Nocturne
Flamenco
Gathering Storm
Memory
Solace

And of course, I would do whatever I can to accomodate most fantasy artwork in my home. lol However, paying for school made my pockets and wallets quite light.

Although I love these artists, I'm still waiting for the prescence of African American, and African themed fantasy art. I don't care if it is assumed that fantasy art does not focus on cultures other than European. This is where I give Rob Carlos some credit for including the minority prescence in his work (pieces "Dryad" and "Summer"). And Jessica Galbreth's new Goddess Project has the first piece of work called "Oshun" which is an African Goddess. If you would like more information on her, here was something I found really quick.
